The State of Victoria, Australia, is located in the the south-east of the country and is geographically the smallest mainland state. Victoria is bordered by New South Wales to the north, South Australia to the west, and Tasmania on Boundary Islet to the south. Victoria is Australia's most densely populated state and has a highly centralized population with almost 75% of Victorians living in Melbourne, the state capital and largest city.
